Tim Carter

EVI Centre Manager

Tim is the Centre Manager at Ebbw Vale Institute (EVI). He has over a decade of experience working for two disability organisations, where he provided information, advice, and advocacy, including managing a team of Welfare Benefit Caseworkers.

Before this, Tim spent ten years working for Social Services departments, developing a deep understanding of the support needs within the community. Earlier in his career, he trained as a teacher and worked for two years in a special school in Cardiff.

At EVI, Tim leads our advice and guidance service, assisting with benefit checks and cost-of-living support. He also leads the Multiply project, helping adults develop numeracy skills to support their children, and themselves. Additionally, Tim coordinates various other projects and general operations at EVI. He is keen to use his experience to benefit the community.
