Welcome, Bethan!
ProMo Cymru is delighted to welcome Bethan Gallivan to the team as our new Welsh Content and Communications Officer!
Bethan has a degree in Journalism, Media and English Literature and brings three years’ experience from their previous role at a youth homelessness charity. They worked closely with young people with lived experience of homelessness, delivering training in research methods, co-producing social media content, and facilitating Youth Board meetings. Bethan also created, produced, and hosted a podcast in which they interviewed professionals and young people about various issues relating to youth homelessness.

At ProMo Cymru, Bethan will be creating high-quality bilingual content, contributing to the communications strategy, and supporting on a number of projects. They are passionate about amplifying the voices of young people and using digital media to create a positive social impact.
Reflecting on their first few days at ProMo, Bethan says:
“I’ve enjoyed sitting in on meetings and learning more about ProMo’s huge variety of projects. I’m particularly interested in youth-facing projects such as Meic and TheSprout, and can’t wait to create high-quality bilingual content that will speak to young people across Wales.”
Outside of work, Bethan is an avid film fan and regularly goes to the cinema, as well as reading, crafts, and going to gigs. They also recently discovered a love of birdwatching – often spending their lunch breaks in the park listening to the birds!
We are thrilled to have Bethan on board and look forward to the impact they will make. Croeso to the team, Bethan!
