Are you passionate about youth and community work? Do you want to use your skills to make a real difference in the lives of young people and communities across Wales? Then join our Board.
Becoming a Trustee at ProMo Cymru is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills, gain experience in the charity and not-for-profit sector, and contribute to innovative services and projects that support communities.
For over 40 years, ProMo Cymru has been at the forefront of developing services that empower and inform young people, communities and organisations, including:
- Meic – national advocacy helpline for children and young people in Wales
- TheSprout – youth information platform for Cardiff and beyond
- Digital projects – offering free digital support and training to third sector organisations
- TheAbacus – community led art and events space collaborating with local artists
- EVI – community and cultural centre providing services to the communities of Ebbw Vale and wider

ProMo Cymru is committed to building a diverse and inclusive board and particularly welcome applications from women and individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds.
“We know that a diverse board brings different experiences and perspectives, leading to better strategic decisions, and a stronger connection with the communities we serve,” says Marco Gil-Cervantes, Chief Executive at ProMo Cymru.
“We are particularly looking for people with experience in the youth sector, marketing or human resources, but we also value people with lived experience and those under 25 who want to gain leadership experience”, added Marco.


What’s Involved?
- Voluntary role with travel expenses
- Meet every 8 weeks (5.30pm–7.30pm) – online & Cardiff Bay
- Induction and training provided
- Be part of a creative and supportive team making a real impact
